Writing

For Weyerhaeuser, I've written approximately 300+ articles for employee newsletters and websites, including this piece about the company's trucking operation, which had gone months without a safety incident. This story reinforced the company's longstanding commitment to safety.

Employee Communications

Employee outreach must motivate, inform and engage. At Weyerhaeuser, I represented the Timberlands, Wood Products and Cellulose Fibers business segments and created a variety of web and electronic format communications vehicles, including the Cellulose Fibers monthly pictured here.

Advocacy

I represented Delta Dental for several years at Porter Novelli. I pitched media, developed materials and ensured we delivered results for our client. One particular campaign convinced Congress to include dental care in health care reform. This comprehensive initiative included advertising, media relations and grassroots advocacy.

Member Communications

At the National Association of Home Builders, I negotiated a relationship with McGraw-Hill, which increased NAHB's visibility among potential members. As part of that deal, my team and I developed a membership recruitment brochure inserted into a key McGraw-Hill publication distributed to hundreds of thousands of builders across the United States.

Speechwriting

I wrote several executive speeches at Weyerhaeuser, including a CEO speech delivered at the University of Washington on the housing meltdown, and an address on the connection between sustainability and the entire human endeavor.
